Open a meeting

Select Meetings in the sidebar, then choose a record. Meetings are grouped by date and may use a calendar event name or an automatically generated title.

The meeting view brings together the recording, transcript, your notes, screenshots, Skills, and Ask.

Transcript and playback

Use the media player to play or seek through saved audio. Transcript timestamps follow the recording, so selecting a time reference takes you to that point.

Speaker separation runs locally. A detected Speaker is only a meeting-local voice group; it is not automatically a verified person. Review labels before relying on them.

People and speaker assignments

Assign a Speaker to yourself or to a Person when you know who spoke. A Person is a persistent identity that can appear across meetings; a Speaker can remain unassigned, and an attendee can exist without detected speech.

The People page shows persistent participants and their linked meetings. Deleting a Person removes that Person record but does not rewrite the existing meeting history.

Optional Zoom and Google Meet speaker-tag features use app signals to improve names, but those signals can be inaccurate. Treat the transcript and assignments as editable notes, not authoritative identity evidence.

Screenshots

When Smart Screenshot is enabled, screenshot thumbnails appear with the meeting. Select one to open it, then move between available screenshots. Captures are saved in the meeting's local vault folder.

Ask about the meeting

Use Ask to request a recap, find a detail, or reason about the transcript and available screenshots. Ask is an AI-powered feature: the context you include leaves your Mac for external processing. See Privacy and data leaving your Mac.

Edit your notes

You can edit meeting notes and supported Markdown fields in Shadow. Supported external edits in the vault are also imported, but editing in Shadow is the safest option for managed fields.
