ChatGPT's Record mode turns the ChatGPT Mac app into a meeting recorder for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, and OpenAI is now testing a Meetings plugin for Pro and Business. Both are real alternatives if you already pay for ChatGPT. Shadow does the same capture without a bot, and the rest differs. Shadow transcribes on your Mac instead of uploading audio. It saves each meeting as Markdown in a folder you own, where Claude Code, Codex and Obsidian can read it, instead of a canvas inside a chat.
